Every audit will be conducted at the highest proficient level. It must be honest to respect the client and fair to respect the crew. The main purpose of the audit, is to assist the crew to operate at best and not only to find observations according to the checklist.

The office will be informed about the operational capacity of the Bridge Team and about the compliance according to international standards and regulations.

Possible improvements to the internal Bridge Procedure Manual is a standard part of the reporting.

The Bridge Procedure Manual is part of the (SMS) Safety Management System. The SMS on the other hand is an important aspect of the International safety management (ISM) code and it details all the important policies, practices, and procedures that are to be followed in order to ensure safe functioning of ships at sea.

Over the past decade, PT Promacindo has been involved in the development of new bridge procedure manuals and the upgrading of existing ones. Several shipping companies utilised the immense experience of PT Promacindo in this field. The main idea behind these projects is to ensure that the manual is compliant with the international requirements. Furthermore, that is written in such a way, that it will be a useful manual for the crew and an easy to use guide for their daily work. All documents and information connected to the project will be treated as confidential and will not be used for any other purpose other than that for which they have been provided.

Training

ECDIS and/or equipment training on board will not only train the function of the system. The main idea is to transfer knowledge to the crew to create situational awareness and avoid the risk of over-reliance. Given background information will enable the crew to understand the system better and enable them to be more confident during following inspections.
