ECDIS Assessment
The course is conducted on board with the vessel’s ECDIS. The course involves some practical exercises, where the instructor validates and directs where necessary. Where knowledge of the ECDIS exists already, the exercises assess user knowledge to a high degree.
Unknown topics or functionalities will be explained and trained. A type specific training certificate is issued on completion of the course stating that training has been conducted on the specified ECDIS make and model and is approved by the manufacturer.
At this moment, we hold the manufacturer approval from Transas and ChartWorld. Other ECDIS brands can be trained as well and a refresher certificate will be issued.
