ISM ISPS MLC Audit

The combination of these 3 audits can save time and resources of the client. It is not a requirement that an annual audit is carried out by representatives of the shipping company. Contracted and qualified Lead Auditors are allowed to complete the audits.

The International Safety Management Code (ISM Code) requires “that the Company should carry out internal safety audits on board and ashore at intervals not exceeding twelve months to verify whether safety and pollution-prevention activities comply with the ship management system”.

The International Ship and Port Facility Security Code (ISPS Code) advises the responsibilities for shipping companies and ships’ personnel to ´´detect security threats and take preventive measures against security incidents affecting ships or port facilities used in international trade´´.

During the audit we will cover all aspects of the MLC Convention and generate a comprehensive report. Our goal is to a deliver a review of the MLC objectives as described in the ship´s Declaration of Maritime Labour Compliance (DMLC) Part II, and assist the manager of the ship to maintain the required MLC standards.
